Cadence Weapon - Afterparty Babies

I told you before - Go out and buy this album! Canadians have no excuse since you can walk into HMV and get this for $9.99!! (They almost tricked me into a "2 for $25" deal, but I AM ASIAN, you think you can fool me with MATH?! It costs $10 by itself FOOOLS!)

Jimmy Corrigan, the Smartest Kid on Earth

I am getting into graphic novels really late, sue me. If you are at all into them then you know about this one by Chris Ware. Wikipedia says:

"Jimmy is an awkward and cheerless character with an overbearing mother and a very limited social life. Jimmy attempts to escape his unhappiness via an active imagination that sometimes gets him into awkward situations."

Not exactly candycanes and rainbows - the subject matter is kinda dark and depressing but the art is really... actually maybe the artwork is depressing too, why am I reading it? (yes, that is a guy dressed like a superhero killing himself by jumping off a building)

The drawings are really cool - the attention to detail is beyond obsessive, there are often little mini drawings and parts that are insanely hard to follow - I am hooked.

Oh yea, see, some pages and frames will be oriented this way for no reason. Awesome. (I am holding the book sideways)
