The 16 episodes of this documentary (divided in 4 to 5 segments of 10 min. or so each), titled "What is Rock and Roll?" constitute a chronology of rock music since its early days. That's why the Part 3 deals with the early days of rock and roll from 1949 to about 1956, though it extends well beyond as Bill Haley, and Elvis Presley are the two featured artists of this audio program. For the record, and to those who discover this series for the first time, more especially, this documentary does not limit at all to a mere historical account and to the implications of rock music upon our modern society, as you shall discover it. It also describes in technical and musical terms what rock music is, so as to address students in musicology and professional musicians as well; or the enlightened profane, from a more modest standpoint. This Part 3 is exceptionally cut in 6 segments as its duration is more than 49 minutes (Youtube doesn't accept video whose length is in excess of 10 minutes, regretfully). The Part. 4 is expected to be released on this same Youtube account, and on the music blogsite http://sweethomenashville.com, sometimes within the first week of August 2008.
