story includes two self-involved characters, Joe and Jay, and a pet monkey named Otis. The story is about Joe attempting to gain the attention of his friend Jay but realizes he must pay more attention to someone other then himself for that to work. This work was created, and rendered in Autodesk Maya. I created every aspect of the film from the story, character creation, models, rigs, shading, and compositing.
: Sleeptight, Fall 2006 - 2007 Fisher, a young boy in a peaceful sleep, suddenly becomes awakened by a dream that he soon realized he can control. This is a piece created in Maya as well. The music “PDA” by British band Interpol was recorded separately and I was granted permission from the band to use the music in my short film for non-profit uses.
: Fragile, Fall 2006 - 2007 This is an experiment of combining blue screen live action with CG models. The experience of the stylized delivery of a package starts in 2-D, making its way to 3-D, is meat to let the viewer enjoy a short piece created from a score of music I created myself. The process includes work within Maya and Adobe Aftereffects.
: Room 309: Digital Training Prototype, Fall 2008 This interactive Vignette-based educational video is a tool created to aid in pre-high school teachers in training to deal with behavioral situations with students. This is the art direction and pre-viz portion of the research in creating this prototype. The video preludes a game environment similar to this art style, with a foundation of the Orange Box and Half-Life 2 game engines.
