Athans is a board member for the Himalayan Cataract Project, an organization that brings eye care to those suffering from cataract blindness in the Himalaya. As if that wasn’t enough to keep him busy, he is also a high-altitude film-maker with credits from NOVA, National Geographic Society and the feature film “7 Years in Tibet.”
