There's a credible rumor going around that Sprint is going to follow the lead of AT&T and Verizon and cut their wireless data service plan from Unlimited back to only 5 gigabytes per month of bandwidth. This is an outrage!!! For truck drivers on the road, wireless data services such as those provided by Sprint are the primary means of connecting to the Internet. This is also true for many people that live in rural areas and have until the advent of EVDO 3G services been limited to dial-up. If Sprint drops it's Unlimited plan to only 5 gigabytes per month of bandwidth transfer, there will be no wireless options left for people who are either in rural areas and/or are travelling constantly. It's likely that as business conditions continue to worsen, more marginal carrier operations large and small will be forced out of business.
