This one captures the night in two minutes. It is like one of those things, a friend writes a short story, lets you read it and when you are finished, it is unfortunate but it happens - you didn t understand it. There are plenty of things to say about this story, I want to point out two - 1. Most likely the friend who wrote the story would say - ahhh you gotta read it at least two times to understand what I am saying. (This is the absolutely the last thing any writer should ever say or even think.) People read books twice, watch movies more than once, listen to the same album countless times, simply because it is good not because you gotta read it twice. 2. This video may work for some people it may not if you have lived in Japan, are living in Japan, or have ever been an ex-pat, going out with foreign friends is always plenty of fun. This video showcases a handful of people I met that night or have known since I moved to Fukuoka, there are couple folks, the boxer and his crowd who we just kinda ran into (part of any Saturday night) - and I got into an interesting conversation with him Anyhow I guess what I am trying to say is explaining yourself, your reality to the world isn t always as easy as all my favorite artists make it seem.
