Script Consultancy in 2005, one of which he directed in the same year. The resulting film, Earth to Earth, was shot as part of the Straight8 competition, i.e. shot sequentially in single takes on a single cartridge of super8. Earth to Earth was selected as one of six straight8 finalists and subsequently premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. It has since been screened by numerous international film festivals including Slamdance and Raindance. In 2006, Nick directed his first serious' short Breaker, which is currently on its festival run and has won several awards in the UK and internationally. The film also attracted attention for being the first short film to be funded by playing poker on-line. Nick is currently developing his feature screenplay, Black Box Recorder, which was runner-up in the Panasonic International Script Pitch Competition in Cannes 2005 and was recently selected to the Script Clinic at the Berlinale Talent Campus.
