The World Ceramic Exposition Foundation held the first World Ceramic Biennale Korea in 2001. There are numerous biennales around the world, but few are specifically about ceramics. Of the ceramic biennales that are held, the World Ceramic Biennale Korea has already established itself in every respect, from the quality of works and research presented to its sheer scale.
