The Victory Garden | PBS
For more than three decades the Emmy Award-winning PBS series THE VICTORY GARDEN has been dedicated to giving viewers the confidence and inspiration to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty. Now, with so many Americans aspiring to create outdoor living spaces and take better care of the environment, the series is adding a new face to its cast with Australian TV host Jamie Durie. Durie's international, environmental influence will be evident in new VICTORY GARDEN segments this season, including how to collect rainwater and reduce water waste, how to translate inspiration found at larger gardens into smaller spaces in your own backyard, and how to work with local weather conditions instead of against them by finding the right plant for the right place. Also new this season is renowned chef, gardener, best-selling cookbook author, and avid proponent of sustainable farming, Michel Nischan. Returning for Season 32 are the familiar faces and sage advice of resident horticulturist and all-around gardening expert Kip Anderson, beloved gardening correspondent Paul Epsom, and lifestyle co-host Sissy Biggers. Together, they will provide simple, easy lessons to help today's busy gardeners make the most of their time outdoors -- each and every weekend. THE VICTORY GARDEN is produced by WGBH Boston and distributed by PBS. If you enjoy this podcast, please consider becoming a member of your local public television station.
